Nottingham Trent University announces strategic partnership with Potter Clarkson

Nottingham Trent University is pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with one of the largest full service intellectual property practices in Europe, Potter Clarkson. This partnership will focus on developing the talent and skill of the workforce in the region, and helping to develop industry ready graduates for the legal sector.

Potter Clarkson are the largest single UK-sited specialist IP firm outside London, and employs 60 qualified professionals and 90 paralegals, administrators and support staff in their local Nottingham office.

Potter Clarkson will benefit from the highly skilled NTU talent pool, including graduate roles, undergraduate placements, projects and cooperation programmes for Nottingham Law School (NLS) and wider NTU students.

The partnership also brings about other key areas of collaboration between NTU and Potter Clarkson, including teaching and learning, innovation, research and development.

Potter Clarkson will also continue to support the NLS Legal Advice Centre, as well as providing input into NTU’s curriculum development, to allow our courses to be both industrially attractive and suitable for accredited professional bodies.

As a result of the partnership, there is the opportunity for collaboration around the NTU Enterprise agenda, connecting Potter Clarkson to the NTU Enabling Innovation programme, as well as to our new facilities such as the Enterprise and Innovation Centre (EIC) and Medical Technology Innovation Facility.
