Students will have the chance to explore pertinent topics including pentesting (simulated attacks on computer systems to spot security weaknesses), honeypots (computer security mechanisms set to detect and deflect unauthorised use of data) and social engineering.

They will also benefit from talks and Q&A sessions led by professionals representing leading companies such as Airbus, Deloitte and National Grid.

Organised by DMU’s Cyber Technology Institute (CTI), #DMUCyberWeek is also an opportunity for local businesses and security enthusiasts to learn more about the research and commercial engagement happening in the CTI.
